CITY ADMINISTRATOR The City of Falfurrias, Texas, is receiving applications for the position of City Administrator.
The City of Falfurrias is an Aldermen form of government with a City Administrator established by ordinance.
The city is located in Brooks County with a population of approximately 5,000.
The City Administrator is responsible to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen for the administration of all city operations.
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration or related field and requires at least two years of experience in municipal management positions.
Other combinations of education and experience that may meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
Knowledge of municipal administrative methods and procedures and of public finance and budgeting procedures is required.
Provide positive leadership and strategic direction in guiding the municipal organization for continuous improvement.
Exhibit characteristics of an innovator and self-starter in organizing, planning and implementing projects, plans and policies.
Must have a valid Texas driver license.
Must fully complete a City of Falfurrias job application.
Must be able to relocate to Falfurrias within six months of position appointment.
